I'm new to Cacti, so I'm not really sure where to start.
We're currently running Cacti 0.8.7c. We're using it to do 60-second polling on 3055 interfaces.
We need to include a LOT more devices (closet uplinks) and I'm wondering what kind of hardware is recommended.
We have an HP DL380 running a quad-core 3.2Ghz processor.
We're in the market for a new box, so what do you think we'll need?
Thanks!

Find a lot of performance data in the Announcement forum. That should give you a hint. In general, it depends very much on whether you're mostly using SNMP or are a heavy user of scripts
