Graphing Packets/sec
Has anyone come across a way to monitor packets/sec for Cisco switches
Re: Graphing Packets/sec
(Maybe) The following default graph templates are available for that purpose...
- Interface - Unicast Packets
- Interface - Non-Unicast Packets
Unicast In/Out packets + Non-Unicast In/Out packets = Total In/Out packets
NOTICE:
In some cases, particular device (IOS?) doesn't support Non-Unicast packets OID (ifInNUcastPkts and ifOutNUcastPkts).
If so, use summation of if**MulticastPkts and if**BroadcastPkts instead.
i.e.
ifInMulticastPkts (.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.2) + ifInBroadcastPkts (.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.3) = ifInNUcastPkts (.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.12)
ifOutMulticastPkts (.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.4) + ifOutBroadcastPkts (.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.5) = ifOutNUcastPkts (.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.18)
