Data query doesn't work. No rrd files are generated

Post by custu2000 »

Hello ,
I've recently configured a Data Queries with one Associated Graph template.
Although everything seems to be OK, no RRD files are generated.
You can find below the following information:

1) general settings for this data query
Data Query .JPG
Data Query .JPG (68.71 KiB) Viewed 708 times
Data Query _more.JPG
Data Query _more.JPG (155.09 KiB) Viewed 708 times
2) xml file content
xml_snip.jpg
xml_snip.jpg (120.16 KiB) Viewed 708 times
3) Graph template displays 6 variables from a rrd file with 6 data sources.

4) I've created several graphs with this data query:
[New Graphs ] -> Data Query [GGSN-Radius auth] ->[2 APNIDs selected] ->
add_graphs.jpg
add_graphs.jpg (44.75 KiB) Viewed 708 times
The registration is successful.
* Created graph: GGSN - Radius - zapapuratos - IP1
* Created graph: GGSN - Radius - zapapuratos - IP2
(However when I tried to display it with cacti debug mode the following message is displayed: ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/ggsn__var6_5531.rrd': No such file or directory)

5) The script server is working correctly:
+ Running data query [14].
+ Found type = '6 '[script query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/cacti/resource/script_server/ggsnApnRadiusAuthServersStatsTable.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing script for list of indexes '/usr/bin/php -q /var/www/html/cacti/scripts/ss_radius_auth.php ggsn2 5 2:161:500:1:100:public:::::: index'
+ Executing script query '/usr/bin/php -q /var/www/html/cacti/scripts/ss_radius_auth.php ggsn2 5 2:161:500:1:100:public:::::: query index'
+ Found item [ApnIndex='2ktelecom'] index: 21
-----------------------------
+ Executing script query '/usr/bin/php -q /var/www/html/cacti/scripts/ss_radius_auth.php ggsn2 5 2:161:500:1:100:public:::::: query RadiusIP'
+ Found item [RadiusIP='IP1'] index: 21
+ Found item [RadiusIP='IP2'] index: 22
---------------------------------------
6) No error messages have been found in the cacti's log file and the poller cache doesn't contain any information about the new rrd files. The poller seems to ignore that it has some new data to handle.
7) all cacti access restrictions are correctly granted for the rra,log,scripts folder.

In case somebody has a solution or an workaround please help me to solve this. At first glance this might be a software issue.

Thank you very much
Cristian

I've forget to mention that I'm using cacti-0.8.7g and cacti-spine-0.8.7g.
Please ask me if further information is necessary.

1) Check your data template whether "Minimum Value", "Maximum Value", and "Heartbeat" are appropriate values
2) Please post the results of "Graph Debug Mode" (in Graph Management) and "Data Source Debug Mode" (in Data Sources)

i had suffered almost the same problem.and made the same check procedure.

although i had not resoved it.but i had found some difference in database.

In the "poller-item"table,i found there was no related raws which it should has the same id with data source id.even i had just created them, and they also could be seen under menu.

i also made "disable" and "enalbe" options under "device" menu。with highest logging level.

the has no insert SQL procedure for my hosts。

if i insert these value by SQL input。the graph works normal.maybe the graph template is ok.

so i beleive there should be some configuration problem for data template.
