Virtual memory and hard drive

Post by bkejser »

Hi

Both virtual memory and hard drive space get put in the "Host MIB - Hard Drive Space" data template. When I create a threshold template against the data template, the threshold values apply to both virtual memory and hard drive space.

I need to apply difference threshold values to virtual memory and hard drive space. Is it possible to configure cacti such that virtual memory and hard drive space have their own data templates?

Thanks

You most certainly can rip them apart into their own templates if you wish.

Hi

How would I do this? Can this be done from the web interface or do I need to edit the Cacti configuration and source files?

You would need to edit the data template script along with the data and graph templates. not going to be fun.

Easier solution would be to find a better way to use Thold for your alerting needs.
