Installed using Windows Installer: No plugin management?

Post by CactusWater »

I installed using the latest windows packaged installer. All is working well, polling, graphs, etc. My issue is that I choose to install a few plugins and i see them in the cacti folders but there is no plugin management page. I looked under the realms and there is no Plugin Management realm. What is the easiest way to enable it in this case?

Odd, that should've been enabled for the admin user account during the install. Check the admin account permissions and make sure all of the options are enabled.

Is this the permissions you are looking to review? * Please see screen shot

All the plugins are in the 'plugins' folder in their own folders.

Yes.

Since the "Plugin Management" is missing, it would appear that PIA never got installed. When you review the cacti-install.log, are there any errors when installing PIA? Did PIA get properly installed on your other installation?

No errors, the only things that have the text "plugin: in the log are the actual plugins themselves like this:

Installing thold plugin...
* Then it shows all the extractions etc.

I only have this installation. Any way to fix it?

Well you can try importing the pa.sql file again in case the tables are missing.

Code: Select all

mysql -u root -p cacti < c:\cacti\pa.sql
Then there are also the modified cacti files with the PIA.... easier to just download http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=40386 and overrwrite your existing cacti files.
