Hi
Could you please shed some light on why a Cisco Catalyst 500 series switch would display MAC addresses but not any IP addresses? Please take a look at the screenshots I have attached and let me know if any incorrect settings jump out at you.
Thanks in advanced for your help.

Re: Switch showing MAC but no IP
I'm sure I'm missing something here so a shove in the right direction would be greatly appreciated please.
Re: Switch showing MAC but no IP
Hello, I think you must choose "Switch/Router" as "Device type". If you choose "Hub/Switch", it will always show you "N/A"
Re: Switch showing MAC but no IP
Hi, Layer 2 devices only have a mac-address table, they don't have an ARP table so can't show IP addresses.
Your router should give out the ARP table to mactrack. Then mactrack maps the IP's to the Mac addresses.
That is if both the router and the switch are in the same "site".

Re: Switch showing MAC but no IP
I'm aggre with you Joris but you need as well to configure your switch in "Switch/Router".
Moreover, if it doesn't work after that, see my post : http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=43741

Re: Switch showing MAC but no IP
I have all my L2 switches as switch/hub and in that view IP's is indeed N/A
but in the mactrack / Mac addresses tab, the IP's get mapped to the correct macaddress and port.

Ok, I didn't know it, thanks. So if tou want to avoid the "N/A" in the device Tab then choose "Switch/Router"
