Hello,
i create graphs for my interfaces on cisco switches..
so that he shows me "Traffic - Gig 0/1 - Servername"
i edit the "Data Queries" - "SNMP - Interface Statistics" - "In/Out Bits" the
"Graph Template - Interface - Traffic (bits/sec)"
to this
title Traffic - |query_ifName| - |query_ifalias|
but if i chance the "ifalias" on my switch from "Servername" to "testinterface" or something. How can i move cacti to change automatic my Graph title??
anyone an idea?

Re: Graph Title change
To apply changes to existing graphs, try:
1) Choose graph(s) in Graph Management
2) Select "Reapply Suggested Names" and click [Go]

Re: Graph Title change
Then, try this:
1) Devices -> your device
2) At the bottom of screen, in "Associated Data Queries", click green circle icon ("Reload Data Query")
3) Do the above (=Reapply Suggested Names)

Re: Graph Title change
This works..
put on every change i must do this steps??
i change the "Re-Index Method" to "verify all Fields" because "uptime goes backwards" is not a godd option to me..
i hope "verify all field" will re-index every time a new poll will start !?
can i use this CLI command
"php5 host.php?action=query_reload&id=1&host_id=237"
for all my hosts?

Re: Graph Title change
Probably you should so -- when you have changed interface's description, created new VLAN, etc.eviltrooper wrote:put on every change i must do this steps??
I'm not sure, sorry.eviltrooper wrote:i change the "Re-Index Method" to "verify all Fields" because "uptime goes backwards" is not a godd option to me..

From CLI, use 'cacti/cli/poller_reindex_hosts.php'.eviltrooper wrote:can i use this CLI command

Re: Graph Title change
Thanks very much.
or shoud i change my crontab for polling so that he dont poll on Midnight or an half an hour an do mit reindexing stuff.?
Because we change often our Alias on your Switches.
what if when cacti starts polling???Note: Stop the Poller during Re-Indexing Re-Indexing interferes with the poller operation. Please make sure, that the poller is not running and will not start during a reindex operation
