Just FYI. (I'm not sure this is related)

One case about "Error opening file for writing: xxxxxx"

- Won't install, Error opening file for writing? (lightworksbeta.com)
- "Error 1303: Installer has insufficient privileges" or "Error 1304: Error writing to file" (adobe.com)

I searched these doc also. But none can fix my problem.

gemini6:
That is the log from when you had problems or it was successful?
What is the local/language of your windows install?
"D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\®à±\Cacti Post-Install.lnk"
"Create shortcut: D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\¡u¶}©l¡v¥\¯àªí\µ{¦¡¶°\Net-SNMP\Net-SNMP Help.lnk"

These appear to be invalid paths. Possibly this problem is because this NSIS installer doesn't support unicode.

This is a successful install log. I can provide you with a failed log if you need one.
I don't think the problem is owing to unicode because it happens in english version windows also.

Yes, the failed log would hopefully be useful. What is the local/language of your windows install?

Hi,

Thanks for this Installer BSOD2600, it is a real time saver.

Can you please add to the PHP part of the installer the MSSQL libraries?
This is for http://docs.cacti.net/usertemplate:host ... :sqlserver template.

Thanks,

Eliran

The next update for the installer, I can (whenever 0.8.7h is final). Although users should be able to use add/remove on PHP to installer the missing desired extensions in the meanwhile.

There is a little problem with that, because the installer delete all of the temp files it delete the php.msi file.
I downloaded the file from the web, rename it as php.msi and then I added the MSSQL from the add/remove on PHP and point it to the php.msi file.

You should've have to run the original installer. control panels -> add/remove programs -> php -> change options should work.

If thats not an option, then you'll have to download the php ZIP file which contains all of the extensions, extract the mssql and enable it in php.ini. Using a new php.msi file will update your existing installation (which isnt necessarily a bad thing).
