Upgrade 0.8.7c to 0.8.7g Error

In attempting to upgrade from 0.8.7c to 0.8.7g we followed all of the upgrade steps in the upgrade guide (as far as we can tell) and we received the following error.


Error
Invalid Cacti version 0.8.7c, cannot upgrade to 0.8.7

Should it be possible to upgrade from c to g?

Wow, never saw that. Where did you get the 087g code from?

087g was downloaded from http://www.cacti.net/downloads/cacti-0.8.7g.tar.gz

We now know that the person who configured the Cacti server originally used CactiEZ, which still uses the 087c version. Would this make a difference? Is it possible to upgrade an installation based on CactiEZ or would you recommend starting from scratch on a new linux box?

I did not try this. But from my knowledge, the cacti version used in CactiEZ is a plain Cacti that should be upgraded just like usual
