Distributed Cacti with Windows

Post by ryanjackson »

Hi All,

I want to configure distributed Cacti i.e I have windows Cacti servers on three different location and only one server has public IP, remaining two are on private IPs behind the Cisco router. I tried to configured it with single MySQL database but problem was multiple task scheduler due to which getting graphs with gaps.

OR

How can i use single task scheduler for multiple windows cacti servers?

anyone who can help me regarding this.

This isn't really a windows specific problem, so moving the thread.

Cacti doesn't officially support distributed polling, although there has been discussion about it for a while (see http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24869). Are you going for server redundancy (in which case use a combo of mysql failover/synchronization and scripts to sync the rrd files) are a multi headed polling system?
