Lotus Notes compatible inline attachments
The release notes of Nectar 0.28 has the following feature:
feature: switch added to create Lotus Notes (tm) compatible inline attachments
Where/how can I leverage this switch? Is it report-specific or a global setting? My mailer.php is set to use Type PHP.

Re: Lotus Notes compatible inline attachments
OK, I see now that when I check the report's "Use Custom Format HTML" box (and click on the page), I get the Lotus Notes Format selection in the "Format File to Use" drop down.
However, even with this setting, my inline attachments still show up in Lotus Notes as a red X.
Any idea how to resolve? I'm using Lotus Notes 8.5.1

Settings -> Misc
FYI: Documents containing .png images display a red X in Notes

Actually I was referring to this...
Nectar -> **report name** ->
I believe I tested with all file formats, but I will test again. I was not aware of the global setting. I will check the "Enable Lotus Notes Tweak" and see if that fixes the issue.

Re: Lotus Notes compatible inline attachments
I have checked the "Enable Lotus Notes tweak" under Settings -> Misc
On the specific report settings, I choose "Inline GIF Image, LN Style" at the bottom of the report...
...but the results are the same - just a bunch of broken images in the mail body, with all of the GIFs as attachments.Re: Lotus Notes compatible inline attachments
Hmm.
Similar issue for thold plugin was discussed in the past...
...and it seemed to be solved by the code which was using in nectar plugin.
But as you mentioned, this problem still exists?
LO53880: MIME BASED <IMG SRC:CID> REFERENCED IMAGES DO NOT DISPLAY INLINE WHEN CONTENT-TYPE IS APPLICATION/BINARY
Sorry, I can't verify this issue because I'm not using Lotus Notes.

Thanks for the link to the IBM article. That could be the issue. What's really strange is that if I forward the message or reply with history, the images immediately appear inline, just as they are supposed to.

Yep, I know.nickeeriest wrote:Thanks for the link to the IBM article. That could be the issue. What's really strange is that if I forward the message or reply with history, the images immediately appear inline, just as they are supposed to.
After publishing the feature, I had to enhance the code to a quite great extend. So I will have to verify our current working settings and post them here. Give me a week ...

Hi,
Have you had a chance to look into this issue with Lotus Notes?
Thanks

Yep, I had.
But the emails were broken again. It may have happened, that the new release broke it again.
And I currently do NOT have time enough to go through all that debugging.
But, did you check the "notes tweak" under "Settings"?

Yes, I have enabled the Lotus Notes tweak under Settings -> Misc. Unfortunately the results are the same.

Re: Lotus Notes compatible inline attachments
Unfortunately, all my tests on our current Notes implementations fail as well.
And it's a lot of labour to debug those.
BTB: when deleting the mail and looking in the Trash folder, I'm quite sure you will see the graphs ... damn Notes

Re: Lotus Notes compatible inline attachments
There is an updated version of Nectar 0.31 that will be released approximately the same time as Cacti 0.8.7h. There are a number of fixes there. I'm uncertain this is one of them.
