I have a new install and am having some issues and was wondering if you can verify that there should be no issues running 5.5.13...?
Here's some threads I started with no replies so far. I am at a loss here and need someone to point me in the right directions. Thanks guys...

double posting doesn't get you help any faster.
Go back to the latest mysql 5.1.x release and you shouldn't have any problems.

Re: Anyone successfully using MySQL Community 5.5.13??
Yeah I guess I should have just replied to the thread I already started, my bad. I guess I was thinking it was a specific windows question when I had posted the original in general. I didn't intend on help with the issue with this post, just an answer to the question. I did had different goals for each post even though some were related. You can delete this thread and I'll reply to the other one.. I'll think it more through next time, sorry...
Edit: Oh wait, you answered I should go back to 5.1.x. Is there a known issue with 5.5.x?

Re: Anyone successfully using MySQL Community 5.5.13??
I haven't checked the cacti bug tracker lately, but months ago while updating the Windows installer, I never was able to get mysql 5.5.x to work properly. This is why it still uses 5.1.x. Additionally, many people have posted problems with 5.5 so for now, its just easier to stick with older release until the developers change the code.willieb wrote:Edit: Oh wait, you answered I should go back to 5.1.x. Re: Anyone successfully using MySQL Community 5.5.13??
I see the double post now a few posts down, I forgot all about that post! I've posted several lately and it slipped my mind.
Back on subject with php and mysql, it's very difficult to search on those topics since the search allows neither because it's to common. I can understand on an all word search but I was trying to search by subject line, which would be very helpful.
Is there a recommended version of php and mysql for windows or in general?

Re: Anyone successfully using MySQL Community 5.5.13??
Thanks for the info.
I have searched in that way without finding much. I knew about the TYPE=/ENGINE= problem and I did a replace but still had problems.
I know there's issues with the latest releases but was looking for a recommended version. Currently I'm using 5.3.3 php and 5.1.57 mysql, seems to be a good combination with little issues. The TYPE= issue goes away & thold and some other plugins install fine, weathermap though still doesn't import the tables. I load the tables manually and it works fine.
Thanks again...
