Hello,
installed cacti 0.8.7g on a Centos machine.
Everything is working fine with lot of servers and devices.
The problem i have is that in every update (every 5 minutes) my graphs are deleted.
I check in the directory and they are not there.
They are recreated but they showing old values too.
So is there any way to only update the files and not delete them and create them again?
It's very annoying to see File Not Found all the time and wait the graphs to create again.
Thanks in advanced
Alex

Cacti never deletes RRD files by itself.
(RRDclean plugin can do that, but it not be scheduled regularly)
Does another scheduled task (such as backup) run?
Please check:
# crontab -l root
# crontab -l cactiuser (or else)

Re: Graphs deleted in every update (every 5 minutes)
[root@openfire ~]# crontab -u root -l
no crontab for root
Well i installed cacti with root so there is not cactiuser, cacti or anything else.
The other thing is that i've got mails in my system with the above error.
Subject: Cron <root@openfire> php /var/www/html/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
Auto-Submitted: auto-generated
X-Cron-Env: <SHELL=/bin/bash>
X-Cron-Env: <PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin>
X-Cron-Env: <MAILTO=root>
X-Cron-Env: <HOME=/>
X-Cron-Env: <LOGNAME=root>
X-Cron-Env: <USER=root>
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging
snmp_build: unknown failure
You think this might be the problem?
Thanks
Alex

Then, what user runs poller?
That message seems to relate with spine.aamantsios wrote:The other thing is that i've got mails in my system with the above error.

What did you configure crontab when you have installed Cacti?
- Install and Configure Cacti (see step 7.)
Anyway,
if there is no "scheduled" task to delete your RRD files, I have no idea about this issue, sorry.

I know that "CacitEZ" includes some script to delete rrd files on a regular basis.
