[solved] Unable to login to cacti remotely

Post by low »

Hey guys,

Long time cacti user here with a question that seems extremely silly in my mind. This is my second cacti installation and everything for the most part is up and working perfectly. The only difficulty I am having is accessing cacti from a remote computer on my network. The IP is completely pingable from different hosts yet I can only access the web interface when I am actually on the physical host... I think the problem is something extremely simple but I have been racking my brain to figure it out. I've run through ntfs permissions and don't think that is the issue. I've also searched the forums and gone through many FAQs after installation. Am I supposed to be configuring some permissions via my httpd apache doc? I'm embarrassed to be asking for help on such a seemingly simple problem. My installation was done through BSOD2600's Windows Installer [v1.95].

Thanks for any input.
