[solved] No graphs for cisco CPU Usage

Post by Flotz »

Hey Guys,

after getting helped so fast on my last question, I think I gonna publish another question, which is ruining my day...

To begin with, here is an overview of my system:
Operating System: Win 2k8 R2 Standard
Webserver: IIS 7
Cacti: 0.8.7g
Spine: Not implemented
MySQL: Server 5.5
PHP: 5.2.17 (third version I tried)
RRDTool (Cygwin or Win32 version): 1.2.3 w32
Net-SNMP: 5.6.1 (but also not implemented)
Cygwin (cygwin1.dll version): nope
Plugin Architecture: ???

My problem is, that there a no graphs produced for the CPU Usage of any Cisco Switch/Router.

Turning on the Data Source Debug Mode displays following lines: (See attachment)

Can you tell me what to do next to get some Information about the CPU usage?

Thank you in advance,

Flotz

Did you follow the debugging guide linked in http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11747 ?
Does the verbose output query for that device show any errors?

I could not find any errors in verbose query's output...
Everything is listed fine and Debug Mode shows: RRDTool says: OK

I tried to work through the Debugging manual.
Nothing found..

Do you have any other idea?

I don't understand the problem, because all other kinds of graphs are displayed perfectly...

Any help is appreciated : )

Regards,

paste the verbose output from the snmp cpu usage associated data query for your problem device.

Devices -> select the device -> associated data queries is half way down the page. click verbose query.

Here are some extracts from my verbose output query.
What exactly do I have to find in there for cpu functionality?
It won't post the whole output, because it is simply too much...

Is this, what you expected?
Thanks again..

287 interfaces? ahh, so its not a windows box. Each vendor implements a different subset of MIBs. you need to find out which ones yours does and/or search the script forum/repository. Most likely someone has already made one for you.

Yup, there are various cisco cpu templates out there already. look in the script forum and/or http://docs.cacti.net/templates
