How can I export the old data?

Post by Stone_ll »

The old data may be polymerized as I can only see the graph every 8 am about the old datas such as last year.
I use rrdtool dump the rrd to xml. just confirm what I said above.
Now,I want to get the old data that can be seen as every hour.
Can anyone help me how to do that?
thanks a lot !

Though I couldn't read your mind deeply (sorry I'm unfamiliar with English..),
do you finally want to create a graph like this?

I've understood.
-- First, does your RRA settings fulfill your needs?

Specifically, default "Monthly" RRA is set to store 2-hour averaged data for 1550 hours (=2h * 775rows).
And "Weekly" RRA stores 30-minute averaged data for 350 hours (=0.5h * 700rows).

If you want to see data in last year in hourly resolution,
you have to set that RRA (Weekly and/or Monthly) to able to store more rows before starting collect data...
