Probably you have applied plugin patch, but not imported 'pa.sql'..

Well yes, i applied the patches yesterday... but i also got some "hunk" errors which i do not understand... so i do not know the status of some of the patches.

Is it possible to correct this manually?

If you already applied plugin patch and got 'Hunk' errors,
then overwrite that files with pre-patched file.
See http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:1_installation.9_pia

FYI:
If you want to use PIA 2.9 on Cacti0.8.7g, please apply official patches for Cacti before installing PIA.
Then, plugin patch will be successfully applied.

I've not added anything else to cacti except for some hosts to graph...

I reapplied the patches and got no errors from "patch" as far as i could see....

Cacti seems to work ok... otherwise. So what causes the red error log?

The error query in your first post is only included in plugin patch (and pre-patched file), not included in original Cacti package.
So I thought you have failed to install it (=Plugin Architecture)...

Code: Select all

But why do i get this error? Everything is new, it is a clean installation... or then, perhaps not?

It is suprising how fast the log fills... about 10 times per second this same entry....
