Add new interface graph

Post by Durski »

Hopefully an easy one for you guys. I created a new port channel on a switch which is in cacti currently. I can't see this new port channel in my list of interfaces to graph for this device. Is there something I can do to get Cacti to poll the device for new interfaces? Would probably solve my problem of changing port descriptions but the |query_ifAlias| returns the old port description too... The only way I know how to accomplish this is by deleting the device and adding it back in.

Cacti Version 0.8.7e
Plugin Architecture 2.5
Poller Type Cactid v
Server Info Windows NT 5.2
Web Server Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) PHP/5.2.11
PHP Version 5.2.11

You know cacti 0.8.7g is the latest, right? Lots of bug fixes...

You can either use the scripts in /cacti/cli/ to refresh the alias names or manually click the green circle next to the snmp interface associated data query for that specific device.

Perfect, the green circle worked.

Yeah I know I'm behind on versions, but this thing was such a pain to get up and running I'm afraid of upgrading....I might work it in later this year though. Thanks for the help!

That's what backups are used for... you are backing your system up, right?

I have a back up directory set, but it's empty. I can't find where to schedule the back ups...

command line, no thank you. I appreciate the help, but I went with a Windows install because I hate having to learn linux... again. Those instructions resemble linux to me... "shell>" but the other pages say it's for windows, so i'm confused.
