Hi all,
We are currently having problems to graph a certain amount of data sources using cacti.
Server - Xeon 2.0Ghz 8 Cores, 8 GB RAM
Software - CentOS 6.5 using Spine polling
Plugins - Mactrack,Monitor, Settings, Thold,RouterConfig
Data Sources - 10,000
Problems - Hosts Graphs are showing a little graph data sometimes and the local host shows lots of data but has a lot of missing data.
Errors in log File - 04/29/2011 09:13:13 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] FATAL: Connection Failed, Error:'1040', Message:'Too many connections' (Spine thread)
04/29/2011 09:13:56 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] ERROR: Spine Timed Out While Processing Hosts Internal
What can the problem be ? does spine have a limit of hosts we can connect ?

"Too many connections" ==> increase connection setting in /etc/my.cnf
