importing templates

I tried to export a template, modify, and after that import, but i think that because of the hashes, it updated the exported template.

Is there a way to generate data templates for example?
I have an excel with data template names, oids, and all the settings necesary.

There are some complex relations between those hashes.
And we do not provide any interface to generate template XML outside of cacti or via any cacti cli script

Honestly, if they look quite similar, you should explain your case in more detail.
It would be the first time, that there's a need to create 100s of templates
