[XML] Compaq Server Health Query

Post by Deano »

I've created an SNMP Query and associated Graph/Data Templates for the Compaq Server Health - temperature MIB.

Gives graphs of each sensor with actual and threshold lines.

Details here:- http://www.eatworms.org.uk/cacti/compaq ... -temps.php

Full XML Import:- cacti_data_query_compaq_health_temperatures.xml

Query XML:- das_compaq_temps.xml

I have several more to share - but I need to tidy them up a bit first...

Do you have one for monitoring win2k memory? Virtual memory vs physical

Wouldn't Physical memory just be constant ?

Do you have the OIDs or MIB details ?

These are the OIds for Total Available vs Comitted Memory.

memoryAvailableBytes = .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.2.0
memoryCommittedBytes = .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.3.0

I'll try and get them into a template later.

I have imported the XML script and eveything seems to work like a charm but when I go to the device I want to monitor and under Associated Data Queries add the Compaq - Health Temperatures in I get the following error:

Code: Select all

Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in D:\Cacti\lib\data_query.php on line 490

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Cacti\lib\data_query.php:490) in D:\Cacti\host.php on line 104
Any ideas as I have a load of Compaq servers that this would be really useful for monitoring.

Thanks.

Problem was that within the Data Query the XML file couldn't be located. I copied this from the authers website into resources\snmp_queries\*.* and it now works like a charm!

A strange things. regading the 'location' fields display when you verbose the query:
it returns only the number of the location and not the description
eg : 6 instead of cpu(6)
i use getif and throught getif if works fine.
any idea regarding the problem ?
