only thing that works is when I downgrade back to .4.2 any ideas?

1.) have you tried to send a test mail from the mail/DNS tab?

2a) the "From Email Address" on the "Emailing Options" section on the thresholds page is an existing user in your EMAIL system
2b) and "Baseline notifications" is enabled

3a) and if the down/dead host emails are not send check if the "Dead Host Notifications Email" is an existing user in your EMAIL system
3b) and "Dead Hosts Notifications" is enabled

4.) check your EMAIL system logs if the mails from Cacti are no flagged as SPAM

Yes that works fine.

No but it sends email alerts without issue in thold V.4.2. Is it a requirment to be in the e-mail system from 4.3 onward?

Baseline notifications is not enabled. Is that required?

When I upgrade to anything above .4.2 the thresholds never trigger so no e-mail gets sent. the only e-mail alerts that do work are the dead host e-mails. I have seen several othe post with people having this exact same issue.

I'm also a releative newb at Linux/Unix as I inhearted this from previous co-worker.

Any help would be much appericaited.
