Hi everyone
I've created a perl script to gather data from a Current Cost Energy monitoring device.
It's output is as below.
C:\>perl c:\wdisplay\currentcost\cc.pl
temp:25.3 ch1:894 ch2:37 ch3:428 total:1359
This displays Temperature, Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 and a total of all 3 phases.
I've been using Cacti to monitor servers for a while now, but have no idea how to get this data into a graphing form. Anyone able to help me out with some templates etc?
I've been searching and following guides all morning, but i suspect im doing it wrong - and have no clue with XML !
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Help with perl script
Did you check this?
http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:3a_adv ... ut_methods
There you can see all the process. You don't need an xml file to gather data if you are using an external script.
Good luck.

Re: Help with perl script
Any chance you could upload the graph templates for the current cost device?
