Showing fan state in Cisco device

Post by chern »

Hello,

I tried to show fan state in a 3750 Cisco device using two images named fan_ok.png (green) and fan_fail.png (red), but didn't show any png image. I think the status returned in not used correctly by ICON line on node. Wat's wrong? Is not correct to put "state" in this line?

I can get status of this fan through SNMP query: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.1006, that show Integer "1" if is OK and "2" to "6" to other states:
snmpget -v 1 -c pass 112.163.61.200 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.1006
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.1006 = INTEGER: 1

The configured lines are:

SCALE onoff 0.5 1.5 0 255 0 ok
SCALE onoff 1.5 6.5 255 0 0 fail

NODE node02778
LABEL Fan
ICON images/fan_{node:this:state}.png
TARGET snmp:pass:112.163.61.200:.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.3.1006:-
USESCALE onoff in
POSITION 480 70

Can anyone hel me with this issue?

Thanks

That should be {node:this:inscaletag}

The bit on the end of the scale line is called a scale tag. 'state' is something set by the cactihost: data source plugin specifically.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
