How to correlate graph_local.id with data_local.id?

Post by dbeckercpi »

I've written a library to generate a Top Talkers section/report for a given host, based on the host's data collections. I can generate a straight html report from the data right now, but I'd like to integrate it into the tree display for a host. The TopN lib right now is only valid for SNMP Interface collections, although it can be generalized with a little work. My big problem now is that in order to provide links on the data sources to the corresponding graphs, I need to correlate data_local.id with graph_local.id. I've been poring through the code and the DB and I can't find a simple way to do it. I think part of the issue is that these are templates, but I'm really stuck. Is there a developer forum or mailing list, or does someone know how to do this?

Thanks,

Derek

Derik,

I have been podering this issue in days of late. My expectation is that there will be an option on each tree branch to collect summary data. If it is selected, you will be able to select the appropriate summary data per host/template/query/event.
