Associating data template to Data queries empty drop downs

G'day all,
I have made a some new data Queries (3 the first is working) but I am having an issue with 2 of them.
When I attempt to associate them with a graph/data template the dropbown boxes are empty.


This happened when I set the first one up but I had just made an error by putting "input" instead of "output" in the XML.
I have not one this for these data queries XML files so I am at a loss what I have done wrong.
The XML file parses correctly I can't find any issues with it is there anyway to debug this further?

Answering my own post.
I go tit working but I have no idea what was wrong;
I resorted to copying the xml file from the one I had working changing the OIDs, saving it test it then
line by line changing it and checking it in the cacti UI.
