Graph Average explanation

Hi All,

I was wondering does anyone have a link to anything that explains how data in averaged on the graphs.

i.e. if you have a yearly or monthly graph which has 1 point per hour and also a MAX value, is the MAX value the MAX value of the the average? or the MAX value of the source data?


also to plot the data for a yearly graph does it use the 5 min values or the next step down from the yearly, i.e monthly?
