Hi i'm having issues with Cacti losing graph data.
Whats happening is the graph data disappears after its more then 2-3 days old. This is random as far as i have been able to determine.
at the end of the day all my devices will lose the data, but not all at the same time, some will lose it today some tomorrow.
Details of my install:
Cacti EZ deployment running of a virtual machine on ESXi 4.1
- cacti 0.8.7c
- Plugin Architecture 2.2
- boost 2.2
- discovery 0.8.5
- errorimage 0.1
- flowview 0.6
- hostinfo 0.2
- loginmod 1.0
- mactrack 1.1
- monitor 0.8.2
- realtime 0.35
- reportit 0.6.1
- routerconfigs 0.1
- settings 0.5
- syslog 0.5.2
- tools 0.3
- update 0.4
- weathermap 0.96a
- wmi 0.1
poller - spine
poller interval - every minute
cron interval - every minute
RRDTool Utility - 1.3.x
SNMP utility - 5.x
i have attached a few screen of my graphs showing missing data
note that all these devices have 100% uptime over the period of the graphs.
Anyone have any idea on where to look or what to try to do to debug this issue?
Thanks

Re: losing graph data
You certainly are using default rra settings which apply to 300 sec polling only. This has been discussed every week since ages now. I know, that our support for polling interval != 300 sec is feeble and I don't like this fact. But it's a fact, after all.briodan wrote:Hi i'm having issues with Cacti losing graph data.

poller - spine
poller interval - every minute

Re: losing graph data
So was there a solution to this?
I am also hitting the same issue.

Re: losing graph data
Hi,
I had a similar problem with the graphs and i found out that cacti poller exceeded the number of concurrent connections to mysql and the poller was unable to connect to mysql, until some connections threads are freed.
Best regards
