Re: juniper router
Those errors show up in cases, where incorrect SNMP credentials are used (e.g. wrong or invalid community string)

Re: juniper router
Hi guys
Sorry to revive such an old thread but I'm having similar issues with Juniper SSG5 devices thus far where I've made sure that the community name is matching from the wanting to be monitored firewall end and on Cacti's devices end. I've checked that the interface I want to monitor has SNMP enabled aswell. But so far no go. Other devices which are Cisco are working with no problems at all.
Is there anything special that I'm missing for the Juniper?

From checking the 2nd link. I'm just going through the majority of the steps now with no issues found thus far.gandalf wrote:Please see 2nd link of my sig. This should help to track the issue

Also if I try and do a verbose query on the device I end with the below debug info.
Code: Select all
+ Running data query [1].
+ Found type = '3' [SNMP Query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/usr/share/cacti/site/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing SNMP get for num of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0' Index Count:
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1' Index Count: 0
+ No SNMP data returned

Re: juniper router
Well, in case there are no indexes, there's indeed nothing to poll.
