-1.#J and -1 problem in Graph

Post by skaminski »

I'm having difficulties creating some new graphs for some Windows Memory counters. I've verified that the OID's are correct and report data serveral times. I'm getting other graphs from the same server.

I'm running the latest Cacti 8.6b. I'm using cmd.php for the poller to take out any possible cactid issues(same result from cactid as well).

My system is..

Dual Proc 2.8Ghz DL380G3 (HP)
Windows 2003 Server
3GB of RAM
IIS
PHP 4.3.6
MySQL 3.23.38

Help me Please!!!

While trying to find out what was going on, I increased the level of logging to High and looked in the log for the OID that was being polled.

11/10/2004 10:11:02 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[19] SNMP: v1: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, dsname: Mem_Pool_Pgd_Bytes, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2.46.21.0, output: 137048064
11/10/2004 10:11:02 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[58] SNMP: Host responded to SNMP
11/10/2004 10:11:02 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[19] SNMP: v1: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, dsname: Mem_Pool_Nonpg_byt, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.2.46.19.0, output: 43622400

The output amounts match what I'm getting from Getif, so the polling is appearing to work. But for some reason, it's not getting to the rrd. Any ideas?????

Weirdness......

I added that graph template to another server and it's reporting and graphing data on the new server. No big difference between the target servers.

Is this some kind of bug?

Graphing Problems

Post by Guest »

I've got the same problem on a Win2k server fresh install. I was running .8.6b and was getting up to date graphs when I ran the poller manually but it would not update when I created a scheduled task. I have since installed the latest patches and all I get is -1's.

I have a similar problem...

My setup :
Windows NT 4.0
EasyPHP 1.6 package
- apache 1.3.24
- php 4.2.0
- mysql 3.23.49

I installed the latest Cacti 0.8.6b

I poll with the cmd.php file (I don't know why, but Cactid CRASH when I try to poll with it...).

When I manually start my polling i see this :

D:\>d:\easyphp\php\php.exe d:\easyphp\www\cacti\cmd.php

So it seems that the polling is working, I get SNMP values... But, the .rra doesn't update... I suspect a problem in the script that writes the .rra.

I still search a solution!

I just want to add a comment... the .rra files timestamp (last change) don't change!
