Graph iostats from a solaris 10

Post by fher98 »

Hi everyone,

Ive been running cacti to graph a solaris 10 server with the normal cpu/mem/disk space graphs from a ubuntu monitoring server with cacti 0.8.7b.

Now I need to grab the output from iostats on the same solaris server, but cant seem to find something in the forum.

Please someone point me in the right direction.

thanks!!!

You do want to run iostat on solaris and use the data on your cacti host? How can you access the solaris host? Via telnet/ssh/http?

So you already know how to create a script that runs on the cacti host and returns wanted data via ssh?
