Monitor Plugin - Email admins on per host basis

Hi all-
So the Monitor plugin is great, but there's one thing missing. The thold plugin let's me select who gets the emails for each threshold, I'd like to have the same functionality available from the Monitor plugin and its up/down host detection/alerting. Anyone know if there is a way to do this? Or am I going to be stuck hacking around in the code to make it work for me?
