Only able to select 197 ports out of my 240

Post by animalmother »

My Brocade Director has 240 ports at the moment. But when I do a New Graph I can only 1 - 197 ports am I able to select to graph with "Brocade FC Switch Interfaces" graph type. Huh? The rest are grey and I cannot select them.

Might be a Cacti setting I have wrong. Not sure if this is something the template here would limit.

Thanks!

If they are greyed out, that means there is a data source for that interface. You may have deleted a graph, and not selected the 'delete data source' option.

Check the 'Data Sources' link.

But now I would ask, how can I get those on my tree? It looks like they have been graphing all this time.

  • First check Graph Management to make sure there isn't a graph for them (if there is, just add them to your tree)
  • If there is no graph, determine if you want to manually create graphs (if not, delete the data sources and start new)
  • If you want to create graphs for these data sources:
    • Go to Graph Management
    • Click 'add'
    • Select the device and the type of graph template
    • Click 'Create'
    • Select the proper data sources under 'Graph Item Fields'
    • Click 'save'
    • Repeat for all data sources

It is a little painful, but that is what happens when the graph is deleted, but not the data source. There is no 'undo'.

That worked, Thanks!
I just blew the old ones away, would have taken too long to create each. Just started monitoring and only lost a day on blowing them away.
