How can I graph and display the actual OID value?!?

I am trying to graph a counter variable for lost packets. If I do an SNMP GET, the value returned is currently 774. Using the snmp generic oid template and graphing this show what I believe to be the difference over time, but in the output I do not see 774 lost packets or anything that resembles it.

I am assuming that I have to modify either the data source or the graph template or both to display the desired output.

So if the current value is 774 and tommorow it is 850, I would like to see 774 represented on the graph and a rise up to the new value of 850.

Please help!!!!!

Use a DS type of GAUGE.

The rrdtool manual covers this.
