Hi All,
I have installed Cacti on a Windows Server 2003 (running under IIS 7). I can login on the system but when adding servers to be "pinged" the status is "Unknown". The only missing thing I've noticied when reviewing the documentation is configuring the fcgiext.dll file, but I don't have this DLL. Is there any relationship? Why I can't ping the servers using Cacti? ICMP is enabled on firewall and I can ping normally using windows prompt.
Thanks,
Ben

Re: fcgiext.dll file is missing
1) Windows 2003 IIS is version 6.
2) What downtime detection method are you using?
3) Cacti, software versions?
4) SNMP error displayed for the device?

Re: fcgiext.dll file is missing
Hi,
First you're correct, the IIS version is 6. In second place the downtime method used is ICMP PING. Cacti version is 0.8.7g_1.95. I can't see any SNMP errors.

Re: fcgiext.dll file is missing
Have you created and data sources/graphs for this device? Cacti won't bother testing if the device is up/down if there isn't anything to poll from it.
