spine poller values different than snmpwalk ???

I followed the SNMP Data query walkthrough and was also to create graphs, but my problem is that the data reported by spine is completely different than what the real data is or even the snmpwalk. It's the first time for me to actually extend snmp and try to graph. What I am missing. Here is cacti log

Unfortunately, the numbers are reported as "STRING" in the snmpwalk. This is "uncommon" to avoid the word "wrong". Usually, you will have to deduce from that type, which data source type (e.g. GAUGE, COUNTER) has to be used in the data source (when defining the Data Template).
Please know, that when using COUNTER instead of GAUGE, you will see weird data.

I am using GAUGE for the data source. Values reported by snmpwalk using the cli is correct, but not the ones reported by spine. Why would the cli and spine be different on the same machine ?
I would also need to figure out how to get the number reported as integer instea of STRING

So I decided to change the poller type to see if there was going to be any difference. And yes indeed, the php poller is reporting the same data as the cli smpwalk. Now, I know that it has something to do with spine. I tried to recompile with the lastest version 0.8.7g but got the same result (numbers were off). My next try would be probably the svn version of spine.
