SOLVED: Spikekill 1.2 possible bugs?

Post by GlueGuy »

I'm having trouble running spikekill 1.2 (on 0.8.7g cacti). When I hover over the spikekill icon next to a graph with spikes, the little menu pops up. But when I click on one of the choices, I see (for example) "javascript:removeSpikesStdDev("nnnn")" in the lower status bar, but nothing seems to happen.

Any suggestions why the javascript is not running?

Then I tried running removespikes.php from the CLI. This didn't run as documented because the two lines:

Code: Select all

<?php
#!/usr/bin/php -q
are reversed. I corrected the first two lines to this

Code: Select all

#!/usr/bin/php -q
<?php
and the CLI now works as advertised.

OK. Don't know what happened, but it started working.

I was wondering whether this problem had something to do with the browser (was using Firefox), so I tried doing the same thing with IE. Well, it worked?!?!

So I went back to Firefox to see if I had missed any clues. It worked again!?!?

I hate it when this kind of thing happens.... :x
