Combine Graph Templates

Post by C@ctiUser »

Is there a way to combine graph templates? For example I have a Dl360 G5 that has 5 graphs that get created, I then have to go to each graph and edit the title of the graph and then go to the thresholds and make adjustments there. I have the "Auto Create Thresholds" section filled out and it works but i have to adjust the temperatures that it notifies me on for that particular server. The reason I have to adjust the Thresholds everytime is because I have numerous models of servers and so I have the generic MAX value set which I have to edit to match the critical temperature of the server that Cacti is monitoring. What I am hoping to achieve is lets say I have a DL360 G5 server and a Dl360 G6 server that I would like to monitor...When I add it to Cacti I would like to select the Graph template DL360 G5 and DL360 G6 respectively for each server, thus no longer needing to edit the server names and critical temperature threshold and it would have all the graphs created by only selecting one template. I was able to get it to the point of all the graphs created but I had to have a different template for each graph (EXAMPLE: |HOST-NAME| AMBIENT - DL360 G6, |HOST-NAME| CPU - DL360 G6, etc) Please let me know if this needs to be clarified...

The aggregate plugin can basically do this.

OK, I have installed the Aggregate Plug-in and I have enabled it. How would I tackle this?

There is a really nice PDF manual that comes with it.
