Threshold creation wizard - Missing data sources

Post by Hoffswell »

Good day -

I'm trying to create a threshold on a graph that has 4 data sources. When running the threshold creation wizard, the data source pull down selection box only has one data source in it. Not the one I'm looking for. I really want to alert on apc_volt_in going to 0 (power outage)

Image

Any ideas on how to fix this?

the wizard only works for graph with:
1. graph with 1 datasource & 1 DS
2. graph with 1 datasource & multiple DS
System: Ubuntu 10.04lts@64bit, 2*X5650, 12GB, Cacti 0.8.7g, Spine 0.8.7g, PA2.9, Weathermap 0.97a, CAMM 1.6.75, monitor 1.3.1, realtime 0.43, thold 0.4.9.3, manage 0.6.2, mactrack 2.9(.1) ---- 508 devices, 6741 items, 4263 ds, time 7.01s, intervall 60, proc. 12, threads 14, php server 8

How could I then set an alarm for a graph with different datasource?.
What does DS?.

a Datasource is saved in a file. --> look at console / Datasource --> here u see only datasource files, but u cant see how many Datasources(DS) are saved in there - u have to open it
--> i.e. if u choose a file with method 'Get SNMP Data' and turn on debug mode, u should see only 1 DS in this file
== case 1 in my post before

But u can save multiple Datasources(DS) in one file, too --> i.e. traffic
--> look at console / Datasource and choose a traffic file --> turn on Debug mode and u will see multiple DS in this file (i.e. traffic in and out)
== case 2 in my post before == your capture

I just had that same problem where it was blank. Then I remembered somebody else saying they had problems doing random things if they weren't using Firefox. I was using Chrome and it was blank, then when I tried it with Firefox it was there. Simple fix for me.

Browser for me too. Chrome is great for many things and I continue to use it but Firefox pulled through for me this time around :)

Hmmm I will have to look into that, as I use Chrome for everything too.
