I've got a collection of a few dozen switches in a Cacti install along with some other devices. I know which ones are switches, because I made a 'Cisco Switch' host template, that they are all marked with.
I've just created a graph to monitor STP toploogy changes, and I'd like to add it to all the switches. How is that done?
1) Adding it to the Host Template doesn't do it.
2) There's no 'Reapply Host Template' type option.
3) The cli add_graph tool doesn't let you specify a host_template_id instead of a host_id...
So my feature request is really for option 3 or perhaps 2. It shouldn't take a shell script to do this!
Keeping consistent sets of graphs across all the devices should be a simple job.
Add a new graph to everything with a certain host template?

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Re: Add a new graph to everything with a certain host templa
My bad. I made a patch that implemented "Reapply Graph Template", working on "normal Graph Templates" only, not on data query. But I did not apply that patch to 087g, unfortunalety. It's around in the forums, somewhere, but was based on an early version of cacti.Howie wrote:2) There's no 'Reapply Host Template' type option.
Good news is, that it had been applied to 088 branch already And if I remember correctly, it now works on Data Queries as well.
