I didn't use a PIA

I have a cacti-0.8.7e version and to pass on the version 0.8.7g I made patches as specifies it the documentation.

Thanks

Ok, sorry. Iwas reading your first post too fast.

Before applying the pathes (which are patches BASED ON 087g) you will have to install 087g code first! Then, as a next step, apply the patches. See e.g. http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:1_inst ... ding_cacti

Usually (aka: if you don't make any mistake) no
If in doubt, copy your stuff and perform an upgrade on the copy just to exercise. To be honest, I do this ALWAYS when upgrading (but that's due to half a dozen custom patches)

ok Thanks,

there is a global variable in the file "global.php" is called "$ config ['url_path']. This variable does not exist in version 0.8.7g.

Are anyone know how this variable is redefined ("url_path") in version 0.8.7g. Thank you for your help.

You don't have to touch global.php when installing PIA 2.8 any change have to be made on config.php where you will find $url_path = "//";

you can refer back to this link for more explanation
