install Patch

dear all
i am using Windows XP sp3 with IIS 5.
1. i have download and installed cacti from this link http://forums.cacti.net/about14946.html
2. i have facing a problem regarding the Graph,
3. I have installed Cygwin 1.7.7-1 updated version , But i don't know how to installed patches please tell me step by step.
4. i have installed .net framework 2 sp1.
5. and is there any option so that if our windows base computer down we have getting any alert like email.
6. and geeting SNMP error msg. ICMP ping is working.

1) read/follow http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11747 for your issues.

2) No need for cygwin installed. download the prepatched files and overwrite those instead. http://cacti.net/download_patches.php

3) cacti doesn't use .NET

4) yes, the thold plugin.

1. i have download pre patched but the same file name is not there, these are file name for cacti 8.7e patched which i have download from site,
i. cli_add_graph.patch.
ii. cross_site_fix.patch
iii. fix_icmp_on_windows_iis_servers.patch
iv. snmp_invalid_response.patch
v. sql_injection_template_export.patch
vi. template_duplication.patch
2. the thold plugin, how to configure can u tell me. i have installed that tool.
3. and my grpah is not open i think there is some problem in poller.php
Do this by running the following from the command prompt:

php c:/cacti_web_root/cacti/poller.php
The output should look something like the following:
when i have run this command nothing is open.

i have attachment my graph please see what is the error.
and also attached cacti log file.
4. and tell me if we can replace RRDtool folder in C drive, like old version to new version.

The prepatched files are there, just sort of hidden: http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/ ... e-patched/
Use those files to overwrite your existing cacti 0.8.7g files.

Yes, you should be using the win32 version of rrdtool, not cygwin.

those mysql errors 1064 means bad syntax. Disable the plugins and get a functional cacti installation first. then once thats done, enable them one by one.

Hi BSOD

1. now on local system where i have installed cacti software that computer graph is show and snmp and ping both are working.
2. But when i try to connect another device it's show snmp error, i have all device is Windows base(windows XP sp2 windows server 2000, server2003 and server 2008) i have try installed Windows SNMP services from Add/Remove program and also installed net-snmp software also. but device is not connected. And when i have add a new device now some time device is show unknown and after that it's show down.
here is the log file.
3. And i m using cacti 8.7e which u have created full exe. but patch name is not find can u tell me which directory i have try to paste . like C:\inetpub/wwwroot/cacti

snmp service check config under service
the cacti host must configured for remote snmp read, default ist only localhost

1. snmp service is running on cacti computer and also remote computer.
Which SNMP port i have allow on local computer ? For TCP and UDP
2. but these two line i can't understand so please explain me.
