[solved] SPINE: Poller[0] Host[0] ERROR: The POPEN timed out

Post by lawcab »

I am new to cacti management.

Our cacti is installed in a windows box. And the graph are suddenly not displaying.

I looked at View Cacti Log File.

and it shows me a couple of errors:
09/08/2010 01:11:00 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:60.6303 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads:1 Hosts:3 HostsPerProcess:3 DataSources:29 RRDsProcessed:0
09/08/2010 01:11:00 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] ERROR: Spine Timed Out While Processing Hosts Internal
09/08/2010 01:10:50 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[0] ERROR: The POPEN timed out

Help needed. Thanks.

bump up your threads a bit. Read the manual.

Run:

Code: Select all

./spine -R -V 3
It will give you some idea of what is going wrong. Typically throwing a few more threads at the problem makes it go away.
