trying to make it work

Post by csinva »

Ok, i'm new at this and i have loaded it per instruction and when i try and look at it via the web all i get is the install.php file, even if i type in index.php. i tried to run php cmd.php manually as root and cactiuser and i get:

Can't open perl script "/scripts/loadavg_multi.pl": No such file or directory
sh: /log/rrd.log: No such file or directory
sh: create: command not found
sh: /log/rrd.log: No such file or directory
update: invalid option -- -
usage: update [-012345678] [-d] [-s sync-delay] [-f flush-delay]
-0 Max fraction of LRU list to examine for dirty blocks
-1 Max number of dirty blocks to write each time bdflush activated
-2 Num of clean buffers to be loaded onto free list by refill_freelist
-3 Dirty block threshold for activating bdflush in refill_freelist
-4 Percentage of cache to scan for free clusters
-5 Time for data buffers to age before flushing
-6 Time for non-data (dir, bitmap, etc) buffers to age before flushing
-7 Time buffer cache load average constant
-8 LAV ratio (used to determine threshold for buffer fratricide)
-d Display kernel parameters
-f Call flush this often (in seconds)
-h Give this help
-s If acting as update then call sync this often (in seconds)

the files are there, i looked. i'm new to apache, so i may have screwed something up there i don't know. i get a directory listing when i try and get to the page, i put index.php in the httpd.conf file. i loaded phpMyAdmin and it works fine. i can connect to mySql without any problems.

my directory strucutre is var/www/html/cacti
i'm running redhat 7.3, php 4.1.2, mqsql 3.23.49

thanks for any help.

Looks like you may be having some path problems in cacti.

Open up cacti and go to 'cacti Settings'.

Make sure your cacti web root it set to:
/cacti
Then, make sure your web root is set to:
/var/www/html
See if that helps,
