camm: feature request syslog-forward after filter

Post by torstentfk »

Hello,

we use the camm for archiving syslogs and especially the filter function via GUI! :D It is easy to configure and maintain.
In addition we have a second server on which an event-console with tivoli-alerting is installed.
Now we want to forward the syslogs filtered by camm to the event-console.
Is there a way to do this with camm after the fitler proccess? Is camm able to send syslogs by itselve? (a checkbox and a logging server to be entered will be the heaven on earth!)

First of all - a standard feature on php syslog allows you to send messages only to the local server. But you can use your own function - for this is just a check "Execute user functions" in rule, and add your own function in the file camm_user_func.php.

soI have to add a rule at the end of all existing one ( per order-id) and do a "catch-all"-statement and call a new function and send this syslog to the local or the other syslog-server.
But: After an update of camm-package I have to enter the function again into the source code. SO I ask for a fixed build.in-code to forward all fitlered syslogs to another server.

All You need - backup you camm_user_func.php file and restore it after update.
But I am willing to consider your syslog function.
