Cacti blank graph on windows

Post by dsharma »

Hi,

I have just installed a fresh cacti on my windows Xp service pack 2 machine. The problem is that it shows me blank graph. Iam only checking graphs for my localhost machine, so i did not install net-snmp yet. I set debug mode ON. My RRDTool command shows:

RRDTool Command:

c:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="Localhost - CPU Usage" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="percent" \
--slope-mode \
--font TITLE:12: \
--font AXIS:8: \
--font LEGEND:10: \
--font UNIT:8: \
DEF:a="C\:/Apache2.2/htdocs/cacti/rra/localhost_5min_cpu_18.rrd":5min_cpu:AVERAGE \
AREA:a#FF0000FF:"CPU Usage" \
GPRINT:a:LAST:"Current\:%8.0lf" \
GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.0lf" \
GPRINT:a:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.0lf\n" RRDTool Says:

ERROR: opening 'C:/Apache2.2/htdocs/cacti/rra/localhost_5min_cpu_18.rrd': No such file or directory

In rra folder no file is there other than .htaccess.
My software specifications are:
cacti 0.8.7.g
my sql server 5.1.49
apache 2.2
php 5.2.14
Please help

linux templates don't work on windows.

Delete Localhost. Create a new one using the Windows host template.

Many of the templates that come with cacti work fine on windows.

What specifically do you want to monitor?

yes, you need a snmp agent installed. I'd recommend the windows one.

Cacti comes with snmp templates for cpu and disk which work with Windows.

Have you waited at least for two polling intervals? Seems like that's the problem.

Best Regards
