Instralling cacti on nt 4 sp6a

Post by aubhall »

I get the following errors on windows nt sp6a running apache

Warning: open(/tmp\sess_9a8271393443aac42afb202a9651400d, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in c:\apache\apache\htdocs\cacti\include\auth.php on line 30

Warning: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Can anyone help
Thanks in advance

It has been a while since I solved this, but let me go by memory. Ok, I think you need to create a sessiondata directory in the c:\php tree. Then you need to give your web page r/w access to that directory. This will solve your problem.

Also make sure the session.save_path in your php.ini file points to the directory you create. I think it's set to '/tmp' by default.
