so next test:
selecting on the left site the type of device, and then the device itself; no double click on the object. I think there are many messages, and one could be the root cause.
You can see the message-text at the screen-shot in the part "....message:" "

In screen I do not see the full message. It should end with "]".
I propose the following: Add a line in the file camm_db.php: 758
before:
after:
and enable debug mode. After this - reproduce error and send me in pm row from cacti log.

I try all the combinations of characters from your message - and everything works without this error. Obviously something else is causing this problem.
The only thing that could be done - to reduce the number of rows to a minimum (5) and find the ones that cause this error. After that, I need a line from the log (with the removal of all private information of course).
I need just a string, not the screen.

two lines from the log:
and the screenshot.
There is a star (*) in the text - does this cause the problem?

Work without error. Maybe in the host description/hostname of a non-standard characters? Ie perhaps this bug only in specific host?

hostname contains only normal character. so I suppose it is a problem with the local environment.
Btw: I click on the camm-tab icon in cacti, the pages loades the first time, the json-error is dplayed and the a warning is displayed from the IE "This site causes a delay in loading. Should the script be aborted?". Selecting "NO" and cmm goes on until the next json-object.
As this is only a problem with the IE and not Firefox it is only a minor problem - perhaps with the next patch from Micros$ solved
