Windows Install with Polling Errors

Post by Alvin »

I get the following errors from the polls that I try:

C:\>c:\php\php.exe c:\cactid\cmd.php
C:\net-snmp\etc\snmp/snmp.conf: line 2: Warning: Unknown token: persistentDir.
C:\net-snmp\etc\snmp/snmp.conf: line 3: Warning: Unknown token: tempFilePattern.

#!/usr/bin/php -q

he cache or polling is disabled

C:\>c:\php\php.exe c:\cactid\poller.php

There are no items in your poller cache or polling is disabled. Make sure you ha
ve at least one data source created. If you do, go to 'Utilities', and select 'C
lear Poller Cache'.

I did as suggested and checked my Data Sources. The Data Sources are there, but they do not show up in the Poller Cache.

I then go to the Data Source and try to update the path to rht rrd file. I put in C:/cactid/rra/switch_traffic_in_11.rrd in the data source path and it returns an error of Error: Save Failed: Field Input Error (Check Red Fields) when trying to save.

The field it highlights is "Index Value"

Data Source Debug

c:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe create \
C:\cactid/rra/switch_traffic_in_11.rrd \
--step 300 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:600 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:6:700 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:24:775 \
RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:288:797 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:1:600 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:6:700 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:24:775 \
RRA:MAX:0.5:288:797 \

Does anyone know how to help me solve this problem?

System Details:
Windows 2003 Server
MySQL on a remote server
PHP 4.3.8.8
snmp-5.1.2-1
cacti-0.8.6b
rrdtool-1.0.49

UPDATE:

I tried running SNMP manually to see the error, and ehre is what I get:

C:\net-snmp\bin>snmpget -c "public" -v 1 -t 1 -r 3 66.206.29.1:161 .1.3.6.1.2.1.
2.2.1.1
Error in packet
Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB.
Failed object: IF-MIB::ifIndex

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alvin
