Post by thelkyone »

With a new install of Cacti 0.8.7g and PA2.8, all the plugins install great. However when put monitor 1.1.1 in the plugins folder it does not appear in the Plugin Management. in the Cacti log i see this error.

07/13/2010 11:32:20 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] WARNING: Install function already exists for plugin directory 'monitor'

Can someone please help

Your the second person experiencing this regression that I know of. Could you please do the following:

Code: Select all

cd <path_cacti>/plugins
ls -1
Also:

Code: Select all

select directory from plugin_config

I see the issue now. Not my bug, but a bug just the same. For the short term, until I get a patch together, do the following:

Code: Select all

delete from settings where name='oldplugins';
However, keep in mind that if you have any old-style plugins that you installed from the new PIA interface, they will need to be re-installed that way again.

I'll get a patch out here in a few minutes.

Place the attached plugins.hp in the webroot of cacti replacing the old version and let me know if the issue goes away.

Remember to make a backup copy.

We'll have an official patch this weekend if all goes well.

Had the same issue in 0.8.7g (patches release on 07/27 installed) with the thold plugin. I installed Cacti with the following script http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=38633
Replacing plugin.php fixed the problem.
